Josh Spivey

Josh Spivey is in his seventh year of coaching junior sports. Known as “Spivey”, this will be his second
year coaching with Rage. Josh started his career as a high school basketball coach and has coached
volleyball for the past five years at the high school level. He was on the inaugural coaching staff for the
Sierra High School boys volleyball program, assisting at the varsity level and as the head coach of the
Junior Varsity team for two years. He is in his third year as the assistant coach for varsity at Central
Catholic High School, and in his second year as the head coach for Junior Varsity. Coach Spivey is also in
his third season with the CCHS girls basketball program.

Spivey has obtained his Liberal Arts degree and is working on completing his teaching credential at CSU
Stanislaus. When not coaching Spivey enjoys playing volleyball and basketball and spending time with
his dog Leia.

Spivey believes that sports gives young people of diverse backgrounds the opportunity to unite for a
common goal. He enjoys helping his players grow on and off the court as team mates as well as
individuals.
