Greg Soliz is in his 8th year At Rage VBC. In the 2016-2017 Season Greg's team finished 3rd in Power League and went to Nationals in the American Division and won a Bronze medal.  In 2016 Greg's high school team went 15-0 in the WAC and Greg was awarded coach of the year.  2015-16 Greg team finished 5th in the National Division at GJNC. Greg 2015 18-1 team earned an Open bid at Nationals, finishing 27th in the Nation.  In 2014 Greg coached the Rage 17’s team to the Junior National Championships in the USA division.  His 17’s team won the first Rage bid of the 2014 season by placing 2nd at the tough SCVA National Qualifier.

He has over 22 years of successful coaching at the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity levels.  Greg is also co founder of Altitude Volleyball Club that focuses on a high level of volleyball training and playing.  He is in his 8th successful year as Head Coach of Los Banos High Schools Varsity volleyball program. In 2008 he was named ‘Coach of the Year in The Central California Conference, and was named Coach of the year in the Western Athletic Conference in 2011, 2012 and 2013.  His High School Varsity team went undefeated in the 2012 and 2013 years. He also successfully led his Los Banos Varsity Volleyball team to the Playoffs in 2010.  As soon as high school volleyball ends, Greg begins gearing up for volleyball club season.  He has coached at Velocity Volleyball Club from 2006-2008 coaching and training their 16 and 18 Power teams.  In 2009, Greg co founded Altitude Volleyball Club out of the Los Banos area. His focus was to offer a higher level of training and play to players year round in hopes to creating more competition and faster paced play during the high school season. In addition to coaching year round he also has ran numerous volleyball clinics and kids programs for youth in the Los Banos and Merced areas.  Coming to Rage, Greg brings his expertise, knowledge and successful youth program building experience.  He is looking forward to continuing his flourishing coaching career with Rage and has the ability to have an immediate impact on the club's success. 

Watching Greg work with players you will easily see why he is such a commanding force on the court. With his powerful arm he can pound ball after ball to provide the training and repetitions necessary for players to continue to build their skills while he focuses on fine tuning their technical training.  His ability to communicate the technical aspects of volleyball ensures each players individual and team success.
